Which factors affect fuel consumption?

Our actions are based on three points:

Delfos Bus

1) Driver. Data obtained on driving patterns allows us to select which drivers require training for greater return on investment. Furthermore, all of the drivers are informed regularly of their results and receive suggestions for improvement.

2) Vehicle. Making decisions regarding the renewal or expansion of the fleet (the most appropriate models, which vehicles should be replaced first, etc.) and ensuring that the vehicles perform adequately (preventive maintenance and breakdowns) are fundamental aspects when it comes to fuel consumption of the entire fleet.

3) Route. To ensure proper management, it is important to know in detail the costs of each route or service. It is more difficult to intervene successfully in this factor than in the other two, but there are still certain issues which should be taken into account to keep fuel consumption as low as possible.

Governments offer important grants for this type of plan

Quienes somos

We can help you access those grants and benefit from them.

Our projects have a return on investment period of approximately one year (if there are no governmental grants). As an energy service company, we share with you the risk in achieving your proposed objectives.

Driver analysis

We monitor the following factors:

Vehicle analysis

As well as consumption, power and torque, performance issues can be detected in vehicles, and our system can help you evaluate which vehicles to purchase when you renew your fleet.

What does an energy audit entail?

An energy audit is a systematised process with which details on energy transfer are obtained, studied and analysed. Its aim is to reduce the energy input into the system without affecting the resulting process negatively (for example, timely compliance of services).

It also prioritises energy use to achieve lowest possible costs in order to save energy. In other words, savings measures are applied in terms of return on investment.

What are the processes involved?

Quienes somos

1) Notification of all staff involved and presentation of a route map.
2) Compilation of historical data on fuel consumption, vehicle maintenance, training activities, etc.
3) Installation of devices and collection of field data.
4) Automatic data capture from vehicles.
5) Analysis of data: segmentation of the fleet, specification of reference and tolerance values, etc.
6) Establishment of actions to be undertaken; analysis of return on investment details and planning.
7) Implementation of the plan defined.

Once the implementation is complete, we return to step (4) to verify that the desired effects have been achieved and resume the continuous improvement process.
